Sleeping in Public 4 (or 5) not sure anymore…

Okay, you’ve asked and emailed and commented about the Sleeping in Public photos more than anything else. So, here you go! I’ve been stocking them away. The ones that I shot at Lollapalooza were just too easy. It was like shooting fish in a barrel. I love things that are like shooting fish in a barrel. Except that I’d never shoot fish in a barrel, that just seems hateful. Ahem…ANYWAY.

I’ll start with Ireland:This is Stephanie of the Irish wedding (photo below). The only person ever appear sleeping in public twice on my blog! I actually have several photos of her sleeping. She was such a trooper though. She always rallied through her jetlag.
CHECK IT OUT Y’ALL!!!!!! Three people IN A ROW sleeping in the Dublin Airport and a pilot too! I was thrilled to see this. Even though I took it with my phone & it kind of sucks. But it was far too good to pass up.

Here are the fish:
OMG – two SIP at once:

The photo below is maybe my favorite. This guy was soooo pooped that he literally made a pillow out of dirt. Scooped it right up laid his sleepy little head on it. Hey, it was after Girl Talk played at Lolla. We all needed a rest of some kind.

Nightie night, Captain. I like your super cool shoes:

Ethan Roberts: one, two, three

I’ve been photographing my friend Ethan throughout the first year of his life. So far we’ve shot three months. It’s going pretty well. I know by the end of this first year he’ll either love me or hate me!

I love him. Don’t you just LOVE HIM????

Holga – Venice Beach, CA

No, I’m not in Venice Beach. Alas, I’m awaiting Hurricane Ike like everyone else in Austin. TX.

I wish I was in Venice though. That would be nice.
Here’s some Holga shots from my last visit that I’m just now getting around to posting.
Happy Hump Day.

Remember the grumpy ballerina that I shot on the beach?  Well, here she is in Holga form.  No wonder she was grumpy!  I only took a zillion pics of her.  Thanks for being a sport, Ruby.  You’re the best.

Ash & Cambria on Ice Cream Man’s home page.

Well, this never happens, but a picture of Cambria and me materialized on the world wide web. It was shot by the Ice Cream Man while we were working at Lollapalooza. The Ice Cream Man travels all over the country giving away free ice cream – no kidding. He’s also a dazzling photographer.

Anyhoodle, here we in all our sweaty glory. I’m the one on the left who does NOT have the ice cream in her mouth:

Have a good weekend kitty cats.

Alex and Carlo – Napa Valley, CA

Emily and I had the pleasure of photographing our friends’ wedding (we all went to college together) in Napa Valley.   I’ve known Carlo and Alex for years and years.  They are very special people in my life and it was a blast to be a part of their day as well as catch up with old friends.  I was certainly impressed by their attention to detail and selection of food and wine.  So, here are some pics.  I couldn’t even include all of my favorite details because there were too many.  But if you are reading this while planning your wedding, think about personalizing you day.  It’s much more interesting this way.  That’s my wedding advice for the day!

Alex’s sister Alison, husband Craig and daughter Isla came over from Scotland for the festivities.  Isla was suffering from jet lag in this photo.  Poor thing!  She’s still as cute as a button though!
Carlo has always been a snappy dresser.  His wedding day was no exception.  I was loving his purple ensemble:
I’m not going to go into detail about what these “champagne drinks” did to everyone.  I’ll just say this to the caterers:  if you are going to include a shot of vodka in an unassuming glass of champagne, please let the guests know, thank you very much!

Alex and Carlo are foodies and instead of table numbers, they had their favorite restaurants from all over the world.  Clever, indeed!
Speaking of food……
Ted Albracht also shot with me and Emily.  Here he is in action in the vineyard.
I see you Ted!!!
