Once Wed, a wedding blog that is a fantastic resource for wedding planning has just posted (lots and lots of) images Alyson & Derek’s wedding. Once Wed also features the reselling of old wedding dresses, which is a brilliant idea!
Check it out and spread the love around the world!
He was OK though. His Mom took off his wet clothes and he continued to chase the peacocks.
DISCLAIMER: Ashley Garmon Photographers does NOT endorse the chasing of peacocks. We love the peacocks. The peacocks are the best.
I love that Alyson insisted that we shoot Holga at her wedding. They’re nice and eerie, as they should be.
I’m so thrilled that one of our weddings has been featured on Design Sponge! Design Sponge is a very cool blog that is dedicated to home and product design. It’s a great source of inspiration for design, art all things vintage etc….I read this blog every single day. So having one of our weddings on it, is kinda a big deal for me! Please take a minute to check it out as I’m not reposting those images here. Here are some more that weren’t posted. The first photo is of the gift that Alyson and Derek gave away to their guests, a travel sewing kit. As I mentioned in a the post before, Alyson is an amazing artist in many ways, one of them being a fashion designer. So, this was a clever gift indeed. Notice the stamp on the cover with the cover with their names on it. It’s all in the details, people. It’s all in the details.
If you’re in Austin, Texas today and tomorrow, you should go to Fun Fun Fun Fest. There will be bands playing all day, good food and local vendors selling their wares. Tickets are no longer available online but one and two day passes are still available at the door.
It’s going to be a perfectly beautiful weekend, go out and enjoy the music!
The team at Clink and David Kurio Floral Designs truly transformed Laguna Gloria for Catherine and Marty’s wedding last October. I have never seen
it look so beautiful. Wait until you see the 2nd Post with all of the reception details – WOW. The gifted and talented Emily Joyce shot this one with me. As usual, she rocked it.
Before I start gushing like a little school girl about these two, let me just say that they are both extraordinarily talented and it was an honor to photograph their wedding. I will save the REAL gushing for the future post with more photos and details.
Alyson is a fashion designer (and an artist and a photographer) and designed her dress from a vintage kimono and silk parachute from World War II. OK, take that idea and run with it. I’ll post more pictures when they become available.
