More from this wedding coming soon. But for now, I leave you with this.
Have a great Memorial Day weekend!
Delighted, delighted, delighted that two of our photos are featured on the ever-so-talented Monique Lhuillier’s website!
To see them, you have to click on “ML BRIDES” and then “WML – ML BRIDES.” It’s the first two photos.
Also, if you are wedding dress shopping, check out her Fall 2009 collection. Ooh la la…
I’d like to see more tea length wedding dresses. I think they’re perfect for outdoor ceremonies in the Summer. It’s hot in Texas, y’all!
Have a good day,
We’re honored that Dixie and George’s wedding is being featured today on Wedding Chicks. If you are planning a wedding, make sure you stop by this blog to gather unique ideas!
Courtney and Jeff’s ceremony and reception were at Mercury Hall in Austin, Texas. Check out the perfect use of the Japanese lanterns to fill up the space underneath the oak tree where they were married. I like the way the lanterns were different sizes, hanging at different lengths and tied with hot pink ribbon. This provided a lovely modern backdrop.
Courtney has fantastic personal style. I loved the way her wedding day elements were effortlessly “non-wedding.” She got ready at the St. Cecilia which is a new boutique hotel in Austin chock full of amazing details.
Pockets. Her wedding dress had pockets. Every chance I got: “Courtney put your hands in your pockets.” Because pockets on wedding dresses are unexpected and lovely.
Fab gold Mui Mui sequined purse:
More to come from this wedding. The Ceremony was at a separate location. It was outdoors, clever and beautiful.
Happy Sunday All! If you’e in Austin, Texas today, I hope you are enjoying this unseasonable cool weather!
I was dead set on shooting my Holga at Sarah and Adam’s wedding. However, it was a bit too dark for my liking, so the photos ended up darker than normal. But I kind of love them being so moody. Enjoy (or don’t). Either way is fine with me!
Also, we’re on DESIGN SPONGE again!! It’s such an honor to be featured on this blog as I read it everyday and it’s full of inspiration.
Have a wonderful weekend! I’ll be shooting weddings.
My dear friends Alex and Carlo have a unique and informative blog called Recession Recipes. They’ve both always been fantastic cooks and during these economically challenged times, they’ve put their talents to good use. They break down how much each recipe costs and details on how to make them. While Alex was in town last week, she threw a Recession Recipes dinner party at my house. It was so delicious AND affordable! I suggest that you check this blog at least a couple times a week to get ideas. Try some of them out. I promise you won’t be sorry!
