I was excited to learn that Ashley Garmon Photographers had been invited to become a part of Junebug Weddings’ “Best Wedding Photographers!“ Junebug Weddings is a wonderful planning tool for brides-to-be. Also, it’s heavy on photography (which, I LOVE) given that the women who run the blog all used to be full-time wedding photographers. Today they featured one of my all time favorite photographs that I’ve ever shot at a wedding. It’s been on our website for years, but each time I see it, it makes me smile and simultaneously, it hurts to even look at him!
Thanks Junebug!

A tribe of bridesmaids swiftly and successfully negotiate a gaggle of flower girls and the ring bearer trough the back hallways of the church. This is one of many hustle and bustle “yet, be very quiet” moments that happen before a wedding ceremony.
I hope you all have something fun planned for this weekend. I do not have a wedding to photograph, so I will be out and about in Austin! Too bad it’s so dang hot.

There are few things as glorious as photographing a wedding in the English countryside. It was especially nice escaping the Texas summer for awhile. While I can’t share the wedding with you just yet, here are a few photos of Lucy and Robie that I shot after the ceremony. Some are with the holga camera too, which is always fun.
More coming soon from Lucy and Robie’s wedding!
Have a good Tuesday,

That’s all I have to say today. Enjoy your weekend!

This is just a gratuitous photograph of adorable children at a wedding. This trio was bursting with energy and full of mischief! As you can tell: the flower girl of the left appears to near bursting out of her skin, the ring bearer is mid-flight in a vertical jump, and the flower girl on the left, well…just look at her eyes and her grin. She is about to be up to something. Good job, kiddos!
Have a good Wednesday,

Glamour Magazine has picked up Cara & Travis’ wedding for the Real Weddings section of their blog. Scoot on over there to check it out, if you haven’t already. There are tons of clever ideas in this wedding! Also, the bride was responsible for the gorgeous design. If you would like to hire her to help her design your wedding so that it is uniquely yours, email her at caracarney@gmail.com. She’s quite the talented lady!
Have a great Tuesday!

One of my favorite moments in a wedding is right after the bride and groom walk down the aisle, once the ceremony is completed. There is such a sense of excitement, sometime a little relief, and above all else: happiness. It’s quite a thing to see. In fact, it’s my favorite thing to see.
Enjoy your weekend. Go and find yourself a little happiness.
